J. Cole Announces New Album ‘KOD’

J. Cole is set to release his fifth studio album titled ‘KOD’ on Friday, April 20.

Rumors of J. Cole’s comeback have been picking up a lot momentum over the past couple of days hours after the North Carolina rapper decided to wipe his entire Instagram page clear on Monday morning, and add the color purple to his main image, alluding to the fact that a new album might be right around the corner.

The Dreamville rapper took to Twitter on Monday to reveal the title and release date. “New album. KOD 4/20,” he tweeted.

According to @OnlyHipHopFacts, who was in attendance, the KOD title has multiple meanings. It stands for “Kids on Drugs,” “King Overdosed,” and “Killing Our Demons.”

KOD marks the follow-up to 2016’s 4 Your Eyez Only, which debuted at No. 1 with 492,000 album equivalent units.
