R-Mean – Rain Mp3 Download
R-Mean comes through for week 41 with “Rain”
Monday’s are typically trash. It’s the beginning of the week and you know you have another five days ahead of you until it’s the weekend. However, throughout this year, R-Mean has changed the perception of Mondays and turned them into something you could look forward to with his “Mean Mondays” series. He’s helped everyone get over their Monday blues by dropping a new song every week. While some weeks it’s been a freestyle and others certified bangers, it’s always a surprise. However, R-Mean’s had a consistent stream of music to deliver us through the year. Today, he gets much more personal on his latest track “Rain.”
R-Mean takes this weeks “Mean Monday” entry as a dedication to the loved ones he’s lost. R-Mean gets into deep detail about the loved ones he’s lost and how he’s lost them. He uses the third verse specifically as a dedication to his aunt that he lost at a very young age. He goes into detail about her time in the hospital and the thoughts that ran through his mind while he witnessed it. R-Mean’s pen game will have you visualizing every moment that he speaks on as if you were in the hospital room with his aunt as well. The track was produced by Dat Blaze and Blind. The two of them flip a sample from an oldie from Jose Feliciano and create the landscape for R-Mean to let all his feelings out on.
It’s already October and R-Mean hasn’t missed a week since launching his “Mean Monday” series. Unfortunately, as we gear up to say good bye to 2017, R-Mean only has eleven weeks left in his weekly run of singles. Nonetheless, he’s been killing it through this year and hopefully, this is a lead up to an even bigger 2018 for R-Mean.
I was just a kid, a 12 year old boy
Starin’ at the casket, wanted to touch your hand
But I was too scared
All of a sudden, my mom just went ballistic
Swingin’ her fist and kickin, screamin
She’s missin’ her little sister, she flippin,
Man she lost it
